Sesame Street was one of my favourite shows when I was little.

My favourite characters were Big Bird, Elmo and Cookie Monster, and for this post Cookie Monster takes centre stage with these tasty Cookie S’mores.

This is so quick and easy and with 4 ingredients it is cost-effective and is a fun touch for a Sesame Street party.

HOW TO MAKE COOKIE MONSTER S'MORES

Ingredients & Equipment:

20 Small Cookies
1 Pack of Blue Candy Buttons
1 Pack of Marshmallows
1 Pack of Candy Monster Eyeballs

EQUIPMENT

Microwaveable Bowl or Heatproof Glass Bowl
Tinfoil or Greaseproof Paper
Toothpick
Candle or Kitchen Blow Torch

Prep Time: 20 mins
Cook / Freeze Time: N/A
Servings: 10 Cookies

Steps:

LET’S MAKE IT

STEP 1

Melt the chocolate buttons in a microwave or put the buttons in a heatproof bowl and place the bowl in a pot with water. Simmer on a low heat until the buttons have melted.

TIP – Do not boil the water; it will burn the chocolate.

STEP 2

When the chocolate has melted, take one cookie and dip it in the chocolate until half of the cookie is covered.

STEP 3

Place the cookie on a non-stick tinfoil sheet or greaseproof paper and dry for approximately 20 minutes.

STEP 4

Repeat steps 2 and 3 for all twenty cookies.

STEP 5

Dip a toothpick in the remaining melted chocolate and use it to cover the back of two candy monster eyeballs.

Place two eyeballs onto the blue topside of one of the cookies, then leave them to dry.

Repeat this until ten cookies have two eyeballs each.

STEP 6

Take the ten cookies that do not have eyeballs and turn them over to the flat side.

Marshmallow Prep

Candle: Skewer each marshmallow and hover it above the candle’s flame until browned. Then, place a browned marshmallow on each of the ten cookies.

Kitchen Blowtorch: Place a marshmallow on each of the ten cookies and use the blow torch to lightly brown the marshmallows’ tops.

STEP 7

To finish, place the cookies with eyes on top of the sides with marshmallows, and there you have 10 Cookie Monster S’mores.
