Prawn cocktails have been served since the 1960s and are still a staple of many restaurant menus and family celebrations.
This small appetiser is super easy to make and has an added crabmeat component to make this a tasty seafood hors d’oeurve.
6 Tiger Prawns
30g White crab Meat (optional)
50g Mayonnaise
7g Ketchup
1 Lemon
Lambs Lettuce
Sprinkle of Smoked Paprika
Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook / Freeze Time: NA
Servings: 6
STEP 1
Make the prawn marie rose sauce by mixing:
50g of mayonnaise
7g Ketchup
Squeeze of lemon to your taste
STEP 2
Cover the base of each appetiser plate with a small amount of sauce.
STEP 3
Place 5g of crab meat on each plate then add a prawn to each on top.
FINAL STEP
Garnish each plate with a few leaves of lambs lettuce then dust each with a small dusting of smoked paprika.
