This sparkling gin-based cocktail was a popular choice during the ’50s and ’60s.

It is long, light and if you use sweetener instead of sugar you have a low-calorie classic drink.

What you will need

GIN

CHERRY

LEMON JUICE

SIMPLE SYRUP (Sugar & Water)

SODA WATER

LET’S MAKE IT

SERVINGS: 1
PREP TIME: 2 mins
STRENGTH: Light
COLOUR: Clear

STEP 1

Pour the gin, lemon juice and simple syrup into the glass.

STEP 2

Fill the glass with ice, then top with soda and stir gently.

STEP 3

Garnish with a cherry and lemon wheel.

Enjoy.

TOP TIPS

Chill the glass before adding the ingredients.

MAKE IT NON-ALCOHOLIC

Remove gin

Replace with non-alcoholic gin.
