The Pink Lady cocktail was believed to have been created during the prohibition era and was a favourite amongst the upper class.
The cocktail’s pretty pink hue is due to the use of grenadine, and its strong punch comes from a healthy dose of gin and applejack.
All in all, this is a good-looking cocktail that will have you dancing the night away.

Add all ingredients to a shaker (without ice) and shake vigorously.
This is known as a dry shake.
Add ice to the shaker and shake again until the outside of the shaker is cold.
Strain the mix into the martini glass.
Garnish with a cherry.
When adding ice to the shaker, use ice cubes and not crushed ice, as crushed ice will break up and spoil the cocktail.
