Roll up white rum lovers. It’s Mojito time.
The name Mojito is thought to derive from the word mojo, meaning magic or to cast a spell. I can personally vouch that after a few of these you will feel the effects of some sort of wizardry…..
Aside from the Cuba Libre, the Mojito has to be one of Cuba’s national treasures. It’s refreshing, light and a perfect companion on a hot day.
Fancy trying one, check out the recipe below.
SERVINGS: 1
PREP TIME: 3 mins

Take the highball glass and add a handful of mint leaves.
Firmly press down the muddler on the leaves to release flavour. Ensure you do not crush the leaves as you want them to stay in tact.
Add:
60ml White Rum
15ml Lime Juice (freshly squeezed is better)
1 tbsp Granulated Sugar
Add two-thirds of crushed ice to the glass.
Stir and lift all ingredients through the ice with a spoon.
Add more crushed ice and top with a splash of soda.
Garnish with a few mint leaves and enjoy!
If you do not have a muddler, use the end of a rolling pin to press the mint leaves.
Remove rum
Add 30ml Lime Juice
